StrongPoint Brings Performance-Based Wellness and Air Force-Inspired Quality Assurance to the Workplace
Oklahoma City Company Connects Worker Performance, Safety, Fatigue Management and Property Protection
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA — StrongPoint is taking a different approach to workplace safety and quality by treating human performance as an essential part of operational performance.
The Oklahoma City-based company is incorporating performance-based wellness principles into its workplace philosophy, recognizing that the physical condition, preparation and pacing of workers can directly affect safety, efficiency, material handling and the protection of customer property.
The philosophy comes from the experience of EPluribus Massey, StrongPoint’s founder and an experienced performance professional with United States Air Force service, certification as a strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer, and decades of experience studying and applying principles of physical performance.
Massey says his approach combines two areas that are rarely discussed together: military-influenced quality assurance and human physical performance.
“I don’t see worker wellness, safety, efficiency and property protection as separate issues. They are connected,” Massey says. “If the person performing the work is fatigued, improperly trained in physical techniques or working at an unsustainable pace, that can eventually affect the quality of the work and the protection of the property.”
Quality Assurance Begins Before the Work Begins
Massey’s philosophy is influenced by the discipline, procedural accountability and quality-assurance practices he experienced during his United States Air Force service.
Rather than relying solely on inspections after something goes wrong, StrongPoint emphasizes preventive quality control—establishing procedures designed to identify potential problems before they become injuries, property damage or operational failures.
StrongPoint utilizes checklists and procedures designed to help employees evaluate working conditions, materials, equipment and surrounding property before and during operations.
The objective is straightforward:
Prevent problems rather than simply react to them.
“Quality assurance isn’t just looking at the finished job and asking whether something went wrong,” Massey says. “It’s creating a process that gives people the best opportunity to do the job correctly the first time.”
Worker Safety and Property Protection Go Hand in Hand
StrongPoint’s philosophy recognizes that protecting workers and protecting customer property are interconnected responsibilities.
An exhausted employee may have reduced concentration, diminished physical control and poorer body mechanics. When fatigue increases, workers may begin rushing, using inefficient movement patterns or taking shortcuts.
Those conditions can increase the possibility of injury, mishandling materials or damaging property.
StrongPoint therefore emphasizes proper physical techniques, reasonable pacing, hydration, breaks and appropriate fueling as components of its overall performance philosophy.
“A worn-out worker is not an efficient worker,” Massey says. “Our objective isn’t to see how long someone can work without stopping. Our objective is to create continuous, productive movement without unnecessarily driving the body into fatigue.”
Performance-Based Wellness Is More Than Exercise
Massey brings a performance-oriented perspective to the workplace because of his background in strength and conditioning and personal training.
Athletes do not simply perform at maximum intensity continuously. High-level performance requires preparation, technique, conditioning, recovery, hydration, nutrition, pacing and an understanding of how the body responds to physical demands.
Massey believes many of those same principles can be applied to physically demanding work.
“The human body is the machine performing the work,” Massey says. “You don’t operate an expensive machine without maintenance, proper operating procedures and monitoring. The human body deserves the same consideration.”
StrongPoint’s objective is not to turn employees into athletes. Instead, the company wants to create an environment in which employees understand that taking care of their bodies is part of performing their jobs effectively.
The StrongPoint Approach: Performance Is Part of Quality
StrongPoint believes that employee wellness should not be viewed merely as an optional benefit or an activity separate from daily operations.
Instead, the company views performance-based wellness as one component of a broader quality system.
That system connects:
Worker Readiness → Proper Technique → Sustainable Pace → Safety → Material Handling → Property Protection → Efficient Completion → Quality Results
Each element affects the next.
When employees are properly prepared, properly paced and physically capable of performing their responsibilities, StrongPoint believes they are better positioned to work efficiently while reducing preventable mistakes and unnecessary fatigue.
Building a Culture of Performance
Massey acknowledges that not every employee will initially have the same interest in fitness or wellness.
However, StrongPoint intends to consistently reinforce the principles of preparation, movement, hydration, recovery, proper technique and personal responsibility as part of its workplace culture.
“Everybody doesn’t have to be a fitness enthusiast,” Massey says. “But when you consistently reinforce good habits, good procedures and good physical practices, people begin to understand their value. Some of that thinking will naturally rub off.”
The goal is not perfection. The goal is consistency.
StrongPoint intends to continue developing its procedures, checklists and performance-based workplace practices as part of its commitment to quality, safety, efficiency and responsible property handling.
